Smith Sport Miniplane

The Smith Miniplane is a representative home-built aircraft for sport and aerobatic flight. This single-seat biplane has a wingspan of just over sixteen feet, and weighs only 650 lbs empty. The short wingspan aids manoeuvrability for aerobatics but necessitates an extra powerful engine to keep her aloft. Her top speed is over 110 mph. Its glide ratio has been described as that of a piano!.

New 1996 variation of the original Smith Miniplane. Designed for ease of building with beginners in mind.
