       ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR A FAA PRIVATE PILOT CERTIFICATE 
       a. Be at least 17 years of age. 
       b. Be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English languages.
        
       c. Hold at least a current Third Class medical certificate.  
       d. Received the required ground and flight training endorsements. 
       e. Meet the applicable aeronautical experience requirements. 
       f. Passed the required knowledge and practical tests. 
        
       FAA PRIVATE HELICOPTER PILOT 
       CERTIFICATE 
       A private helicopter pilot license allows you to fly a helicopter and 
       carry passengers and baggage, although not for compensation or hire. 
       Operating expenses may be shared with other passengers.  
        
       AERONAUTICAL EXPERIENCE 
       The Official Flight Training Requirements to obtain your rotorcraft 
       helicopter private pilot license are as follows: 
        
       Must log at least 40 hours minimum flight time that includes 20 hours of 
       flight training and 10 hours of solo that must include at least 
       a. 3 hours of cross-country flight training in a helicopter 
       b. 3 hours of night flight training in a helicopter 
       c. 3 hours of flight training in preparation for the practical test in a 
       helicopter within 60 days 
       d. 10 hours of solo flight time in a helicopter
